Hi John,
At Half Hollow Hills we do what we call "Tech Tuesday". Just about every Tuesday morning from 10am - 1pm we do basic help, first come first serve. Topics vary from how to use various functions on your cell phone, laptop, iPad, etc. to using email, text messaging, downloading books, backing up your files to USB drives or the cloud, explaining what the cloud is. It is all very basic stuff, no repairs, or setups of new equipment (we've been asked). We try to limit these to 30-minute sessions. If this time slot doesn't work for the patron then we treat is on a case by case basis with an appointment.
Regards,

Subject: [SCLA] One-on-One Tech Help
I'm implementing a One-on-One Tech Help for the library. If you offer one-on-one tech help, do you limit what you will cover during the session?
Can anyone share some sample guidelines for appointment limitations? Specifically, topics covered, types of devices supported, patron expectations (such as bringing passwords, power cords, and accessories),
limitations (such as not providing device repairs), and liability for patron equipment.
