[SCLA] SCLA Executive Board Call For Nominations

The Suffolk County Library Association (SCLA) is seeking enthusiastic and driven individuals interested in serving on the 2027 SCLA Executive Board!

Reasons to nominate yourself:

Connect and build relationships with library professionals from across Suffolk County
Develop hard and soft skills that you can use in your current or future career endeavors
Gain experience for upper-level management exams
No experience necessary — if elected, we will train you!

Available positions are as follows:

Vice President/President-Elect (3 years: Vice President, President, Past President)
Secretary (1 year)
Member-at-Large: Membership (2 years)
Member-at-Large: Annual Dinner (2 years)

We currently have no nominations for the position of Member at Large Annual Dinner.

Terms run from January 2027 through December 2027, though training may begin in late 2026.

Interested parties should email SCLA Vice President Rebecca Goldstein at rebecca.goldstein at sachemlibrary.org with a brief bio, professional headshot, and the position for which they would like to nominate themselves by Friday, July 17.

You must be a current member of SCLA to run for an elected position.
