[SCLA] mobile printing recommendations

We use https://print.princh.com/ at MMSCL.

I would say that it is fairly user friendly, once people get the hang of it. Although it can be intimidating for patrons at first.

CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe.

Our library also uses Cassie, it is for managing our laptop loans to patrons, and the printer module that comes with it. Patrons can send a print job from one of the laptops and there is a tablet at reference that we release the print jobs from. It's pretty simple, the only thing is to make sure that patrons are aware of the black and white vs color print settings before they print.
We also give patrons the option to email print jobs directly from their phones to an email that is monitored by the reference desk. Then the reference staff will print from the email when the patron comes to the desk to pay. We started out printing when the emails were received, but then we ended up with print jobs that weren't picked up.
The email option is used more frequently than Cassie, as most people can email directly from their phones. It is pretty hassle free.

Best,
Wonda

I know that SPOT is active at one of my workplaces. It's part of the CASSIE computer management system, you just download the app and then it's added to your library print queue. And then you pay by using the self service station. https://www.librarica.com/m_sgp.html
You don't even need a library card, it just creates a pin that you put into the machine.
I know we have it but most people don't know and they just prefer to use the other option, which is an airprint printer that can be accessed over the wifi and then pay at the circulation desk.
