Subject: [SCLA] Public Libraries and Community Emergency Preparedness -- Tuesday, August 29th
Dear Library Colleagues,
Please join us IN-PERSON at SCLS, on Tuesday, August 29th from 10:00am to Noon, for the next meeting of Public Libraries and Community Emergency Preparedness.
The goal of these meetings is to share/gather information that wil enable public libraries to help their communities prepare for (and recover from) a natural or man-made disaster.
Our emergency preparedness colleagues from the Suffolk County Office of Emergency Management/Fire Rescue and Emergency Services, and the FEMA Region 2 Community Engagement Specialist, will be in attendance. They will be sharing information about their programs and services, and provide suggestions on how to work with your community on emergency preparedness related challenges.
Please share this information with your library colleagues.
Please register on the SCLS Gateway.
We look forward to your participation. All library administration and staff are welcome and encouraged to be part of the “”ongoing”” community emergency preparedness conversation.
