Please join us for these upcoming Outreach Services programs/meetings. 

 

In addition to the programs/meetings mentioned in the Constant Contact email, there will be a (VIRTUAL) Mental Health 101 presentation on Thursday, July 27th 11:00am to Noon. This meeting is geared to all library administration and staff. 

 

Please note: the August 28th ACCES-VR presentation will be of particular interest to library staff working with children and teens.

Vocational/Employment Resources for People with Disabilities

Virtual - via Zoom

Monday, August 28th | 11:00am - 12:00pm

 



This program will highlight the vocational rehabilitation services available through ACCES-VR (Adult Continuing Education Services-Vocational Rehabilitation). The agency’s primary goal is to assist individuals with disabilities to achieve and maintain employment and to support independent living through training, education, rehabilitation and career development. This presentation will be followed by a presentation from the Suffolk Independent Living Organization (SILO), highlighting their Peer Support Services for people with disabilities.

Public Libraries and Community Emergency Preparedness
