Great idea about the wax covers! We actually loan out a beeswax/soywax wrap-making kit, so that folks can do that at home too. It is nice to be able to share the wax covered pot.

Here are a couple of replies from our Children’s team:

--We use reusable plastic table clothes that are washable…they get a little gross but work well! I’m sure there are other options out there to but I haven’t looked since these work well for us.

--I don’t know if you can buy them commercially, but it’s pretty easy to make beeswax covered fabric table cloths. They’re waterproof and easy to clean and, if you go with an all natural fabric, very green/sustainable.

Hi All,

When it comes to prepping for sloppy programs for children, teens, and adults, do you have a recommendation re: a better choice than traditional plastic that yields similar effectiveness?

Is there a "greener" plastic for covering tables?

Paper, in our experience, doesn't work well enough in all situations.

TIA!

Debbie
