[SLI-public] Alternatives to Traditional Plastic Tablecloths

While not perfect, we purchased vinyl flocked tablecloths that can be reused for craft programs. The flocking on the back makes them more sturdy than the flimsy plastic throw away tablecloths. For food programs, we also purchased re-usable and washable silicone placemats. Again, not perfect but we felt it was better than a single use plastic product. We do still use brown craft paper occasionally as we use up our stock in that regard too.

Subject: [SLI-public] Alternatives to Traditional Plastic Tablecloths

Hi All,

When it comes to prepping for sloppy programs for children, teens, and adults, do you have a recommendation re: a better choice than traditional plastic that yields similar effectiveness?

Is there a "greener" plastic for covering tables?

Paper, in our experience, doesn't work well enough in all situations.

TIA!
