[SLI-public] Request for Panelists!

Hello SLCP Members,

 

It was great to see many of you online for yesterday's SLCP Monthly Meetup.
If you missed it, I will send a recap with links to resources early next
week. 

 

By now you hopefully have heard that the SLI is hosting a "Community
Gardening at Your Library" webinar on December 13th. We have representatives
from the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County, South Huntington
Public Library, and Lindenhurst Memorial Library who have volunteered to
join us as panelists. I am looking for a few more volunteers to share
knowledge and resources about planning and establishing a garden at
libraries. I would especially love some volunteers from upstate New York. We
are already seeing quite a few registrations, most of which are from outside
of New York State, so this is a great chance to share the great work being
done through the Sustainable Libraries Initiative with a broader audience. 

 

You do not need to be a gardening expert to be a panelist. Any experience
planning, maintaining, or implementing a garden (vegetable, rain garden,
children's garden, etc...) that is associated with a library would be
helpful to our audience. Please share this request with anyone at your
library that may be able to speak on the topic.
