<b><i>Dr.</i></b><i> </i><b><i>Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service</i> </b>program, which will offer *<b>free legal services to the public*
</b>for one day on <b>Friday, January 23, 2026</b>, in the Central Jury Room at the
<b>John P. Cohalan Jr. Court Complex</b> in Central Islip in honor of Dr. King’s legacy of service and civic engagement.</div>

The <i>Day of Service</i> program is a new opportunity in the courthouse for the public to be assisted in completing and filing documents necessary to commence select cases in Family Court or Supreme Court. *<b>Participation requires pre-registration.</b>*
To see its full reach and effect, therefore, we are reaching out to ask for your assistance in helping the court promote this important community initiative. Attached, you will find the official press release and event flier (in English and Spanish) that contains
more details on available legal services and pre-registration information. We would greatly appreciate your support in physically and electronically distributing these materials throughout your professional networks, in your newsletters and media channels,
and in any other appropriate outlets.</div>
