[SCLA] YASD Call for 2027 Executive Board Nominations

The Young Adult Services Division (YASD) is seeking enthusiastic candidates
interested in serving on the 2027 YASD Executive Board!
Why nominate yourself?
• Connect and build relationships with library professionals from across
Suffolk County.
• Develop valuable leadership, communication, and organizational skills
that will support your current and future career goals.
• Gain experience that can strengthen your resume and support upper-level
management exam qualifications.
• No prior experience is necessary — if elected, we will provide training
and support!
Available positions include:
• Vice President/President-Elect (3-year commitment: Vice President,
President, Past President)
• Secretary (1 year)
• Treasurer (1 year)
• Member-at-Large, Fran Romer (2 years)
• Webmaster (1 year)
Terms will run from January 2027 through December 2027, with training and
transition opportunities beginning in late 2026.
Interested candidates should email their position of interest, a brief bio,
and a professional headshot to YASD Vice President Liz Hughes at
ehughes at elwoodlibrary.org by Friday, June 12, 2026.
The only requirement to run is a current membership in SCLA.
