[SCLA] 2026 Suffolk County Library Association Scholarships - Final Call for Applications!

Colleagues,

This is your final call to apply for the Suffolk County Library Association
annual scholarships!  Check out the information for each scholarship to see
if you are a qualifying candidate.

*Continuing Education Scholarship*

   - For library support staff pursing academic or career related
   coursework.
   - This scholarship is not open to librarians pursuing the Public Library
   Administration classes, and students in library school.  Library school
   students should apply for the Preparing New Librarians Scholarship if
   interested.

*Preparing New Librarians Scholarship*

   - For students who are currently enrolled in a library science degree
   program.
   - Application and further details can be found here.

*Applicants may only apply to one scholarship and must live in Suffolk
County.*  The deadline for both applications is *midnight on September 1,
2026*.  Three references are required for each applicant.  Both awards will
be presented at the SCLA Annual Dinner in October.
