[SCLA] PLDA EDI Scholarship

Colleagues,

The Suffolk County Public Libraries Directors Association (PLDA) affirms its commitment to diversity and inclusion by offering a $5,000 scholarship
to two eligible applicants.

Eligibility Requirements:
Graduate students who identify as American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, Middle Eastern/North African
and/or Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander.
Currently enrolled or attending (full/part-time status) an ALA-accredited graduate program in Library and Information Studies or an AASL-recognized
School Library Media Program.

Preference will be given to Suffolk County residents or outside residents employed by a Suffolk County Library.

The application is attached. Application submissions will be accepted from October 3 – November 7, 2025.
