[SCLA] Introducing SCLA's Library Employees of Color Committee

Hi all,

We're so excited to introduce SCLA's Library Employees of Color (LEOC)
Committee! This committee aims to offer support and encouragement to
library employees of color in Suffolk County, as well as providing a forum
to exchange ideas about topics relevant to our experiences. LEOC also aims
to facilitate continuing education opportunities related to the concerns of
BIPOC library workers.

LEOC is open to all members of SCLA. While the committee is focused on the
experiences of BIPOC library staff, we welcome non-BIPOC members of SCLA
who are interested in learning and supporting their colleagues.

Please see attached for our Winter 25/26 newsletter, which highlights a
couple of our upcoming events - please save the date and keep an eye out
for more in the future!

As this is a brand new committee, we'd love to hear from you about what
you'd like to see in the future. Please feel free to contact any of the
committee chairs listed below with your ideas and suggestions. You can also
