Part-Time Childrens Library Clerk in Children’s Services Department

The Half Hollow Hills Community Library is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and motivated
Library Clerk to join our Children’s Services Department serving children from birth through grade 5 and
their families. The successful candidate must be detail oriented, proficient at record keeping, possess
effective communication skills and be able to work well with staff.

Requirements:
• Candidate must have a High School degree.
• Experience working with Microsoft programs.

Responsibilities:
• Consolidates, keeps records, and places and processes department orders.
• Consolidates and keeps records on programmers and assists in maintenance of a vendor file.
• Obtains, processes and files material requests and book orders.
• Other duties as required.

Salary/Benefits:
The starting salary is $16.49/hr. Position allows for up to 17.5 hours per week. The hours may
include morning, afternoon, and evening shifts.

The Half Hollow Hills Community Library has a professional staff association represented by
NYSUT.
Benefits include paid accrued time off as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.
