Notice of Keynote Speaker Change

Due to health concerns, Nancy Pearl is unable to speak at the 2023 Long Island Library Conference. However, we are happy to announce that author and “Roving Grammarian” Ellen Jovin will be speaking in her place.

Ellen is an internationally acclaimed grammar and language expert. She is the author of four books on language, including 2022’s Rebel with a Clause: Tales and Tips from a Roving Grammarian, which details her journey of visiting 47 states with her pop-up grammar advice table.

Ellen has a B.A. in German studies from Harvard University and an M.A. in comparative literature from UCLA.
