Dear Colleagues,

 

Just in case you didn’t see this message this morning…a new feature in Libby has just been introduced called “Notify Me!”  This feature will allow patrons to search for and make purchase suggestions, but it works a little differently than the recommend feature on the website:

 

*	There are no limits to the number of titles that a patron can tag. 
*	Notify Me Tags will not result in automatic holds.  Patrons will receive an in-app notification when the title is purchased prompting them to either borrow the title or place a hold for it.
*	The “Recommend” feature will continue to be available to patrons on our website for the short term.  The “Recommend” feature will be discontinued when the Overdrive app sunsets at the end of April 2023.


And yes, it’s true: Overdrive plans to sunset the Overdrive app at the end of April 2023.  The “Recommend” feature on our website will be retired along with the app.  The FAQ and Libby Help articles listed below are great resources if you’d like to learn more.

OverDrive has enabled a new feature in Libby called "Notify Me!" This new feature allows patrons to search for and request titles they would like the library to purchase. The "Recommend" feature on our website will be discontinued when the OverDrive app sunsets in April 2023.
