Dear Colleagues,

 

The deadline approaches.the legacy Overdrive app will be removed from app
stores on February 23, 2022.  

 

A few important things to note:

 

*	Existing Overdrive app users that already have the app downloaded
will be able to continue using it.
*	The Overdrive app will not be removed from the Amazon app store for
Kindle users at this time.  Since Libby is not yet available in the Amazon
App store, new and existing Kindle users can continue to use the Overdrive
app.  Kindle users can also stream content through a browser on their device
using either http://libbyapp.com or https://livebrary.overdrive.com.  
*	Overdrive content will also continue to be accessible through our
main website, https://livebrary.overdrive.com.  

 

More details on how existing Overdrive app users will be prompted to switch
to Libby and the timing for the final retirement of the Overdrive app will
be shared at a later date.

 

Keep promoting Libby to your patrons!  To help with this process, the
following are available:

 

*	Social media graphics that you can use or adapt (keep checking back
for new updates), available at

Finally, Overdrive is hosting a webinar on Wednesday, February 2nd at 2 PM
entitled "Transitioning to Libby: Tips for winding down the Overdrive app
and welcoming more readers to Libby." (

Register here).  Feel free to register for the session even if you can't
make it - they will send you a recording!
